Samantha's Bridesmaid dress

I don't own the bridesmaid dress, but when I saw it at AGPC, it did look like it was made of nightgown faux-satin. I hate having a hole in my collection, but I'm not planning on buying the dress or the Christmas coat. [img]frown.gif[/img]

I bought it because I don't want a hole in my collection either but I really do not like it. Too frou-frou, even for Samantha!

Saw it in person at AGPC yesterday. Tracy and I agreed that *gasp* it makes Samantha look FAT!

I'll be getting it anyway. 4 yo DD has already asked for a "birthday" cake just like Samantha's.

You're right! Samantha does look fat in that dress! If poor, little Samantha looks fat in anything, it is a really bad design. [img]frown.gif[/img]

Saw it in Chicago and I thought it looked just like it does in the catalog. I would say it's a light-weight satin although I didn't touch it to be certain. Kind of reminded me of the halloween satin fabrics that our Joann's has. We didn't even like the hat in person. Somehow, it looks "cheap" in comparison to her other outfits. It doesn't have the same elegance as her cranberry party dress does.

Lessee...the general consensus is that it's ugly and it makes Sam look fat. So how is this different from any other bridesmaid's dress? [img]tongue.gif[/img] Seems par for the course to me.
